Two innovative companies that were at the top of my want list from Design Junction, both of which would be a remarkable addition to any commercial project, were Lubna Chowdhary, with her bold coloured ceramic wall panels and Richard Brendon with his stunning “Reflect” collection of tea cups and saucers.

Lubna Chowdhary’s work draws you in with its’ retro, bold colours and beautiful textures. She creates tile-based artworks for interior and exterior spaces. A variety of precisely controlled hand-glazing techniques are used to create unique modular compositions of colour, texture and pattern. She designs, manufactures and provides consultancy on site-specific architectural schemes for public and private spaces, residential and commercial developments, museums, restaurants, hotels, and schools.

Richard Brendon’s ‘Reflect’ brings life back to antique saucers, missing their other halves, by using platinum and gold gilding to create highly reflective cups. The mirrored cups reflect the patterned saucers, uniting them as perfect couples. Each cup is skillfully hand painted and then paired with a saucer, that Richard meticulously sources himself from antique dealers across London and the UK.
