The MO.OM Hotel in Olgiate Olona, in Northern Italy, has transformed its appearance with the Ecodesign Collection designed for Lessmore by Giorgio Caporaso, the internationally admired and prize-winning Italian architect and designer.

Ecodesign is a collection of cardboard furniture, with a simple, flexible and refined functionality that expresses ethics that are sensitive to the environment and the future. Not only highly functional, it offers a pleasant tactile experience, familiar yet new at the same time.

Mo_On-Hotel-01 The public areas of the MO.OM Hotel are furnished with the tables Dejeuner, Clessidra and Tappo, and the chairs Less Chair and Twist Chair, chosen to offer an innovative interpretation of convivial moments together, offering guests a sophisticated yet “modernly natural” interior.

The complex and visually striking hourglass-shaped table Clessidra, and the living lichens under the transparent top of the Dejeuner tables are eye-catching design pieces that welcome guests in the main reception area.

The Less chairs and the Twist Cardboard Dining Chairs complete the look. With a particularly sophisticated design, the Twist chairs develop on the concept of a circle, where guests can sit comfortably. The round compartment below the Twist chair seat is a practical, safe place for bags or computers that never touch the floor and are always next to the owner.

The furnishings from the Ecodesign collection help to create a welcoming atmosphere, able to promote wellness not only through the sensory perception of the nature theme but also thanks to the clever air-purifying device in the coffee table Tappo.  In fact, much more than just a multi-purpose furnishing – a coffee table, a lamp and a compartment with mobile device charger – Tappo also contains an antibacterial filter, which purifies the air, diffusing pleasant perfumes at the same time.

The To Be vases give an extra edge to the space: a fantastic line of decorative vases inspired by the concept of design using modular elements, which are common to the entire Ecodesign collection. A message is sent through the crystal clear glass of every object. To Be is a statement, reminding us by showing the roots of plants or the stem of a flower, that every show has a “behind the scenes” that demands commitment and care.

The MO.OM Hotel furnishings demonstrate how style is also expressed through the atmosphere of a location. The Ecodesign Collection by Giorgio Caporaso for Lessmore has been working with this concept for years, offering a range of versatile furniture that can blend in to any setting, where appearance, innovation and eco-sustainability are the hallmarks of a new focus on contemporary living.
