Booking.com, e-commerce firm leader in the tourism & leisure sector, has awarded Tétris, as unique interlocutor and general contractor, with the activities for the realization of the new headquarters in Rome and the local offices situated in exclusive location all over Italy. Tétris is the European “Design & Build” specialist for the fit-out of Offices, Shops, Hotels or Logistics properties, with a presence in 18 countries globally.
The main request of Booking.com was to create for its employees innovative working spaces, bursting with personality but always in synch with the client’s philosophy which demands neutral operating spaces and lively, interactive and stimulating recreational and relaxing areas.
For each location, Tétris and its team of architects and project managers have developed a made-to-measure project concept based on smart environments permeated by the urban “local feeling” and inspired to the themes of voyage, hospitality and distant countries that become key elements of the corporate business.
The existing offices of the 1900 sqm head office in Rome have been completely demolished and reconfigured developing a design concept full of charm. The entire space, nimbly articulate along various corridors and doors which figuratively give access to hotel rooms from all over the world, is permeated by the atmosphere of distant landscapes, integrating in the working space by using special furniture, colors, graphic walls and thematic decorations the ideas of the voyage, hospitality and encounter of different cultures.
The offices, distributed over three floors, are organized in big open spaces alternated by meeting rooms and recreational areas, among which an outside terrace over the last floor.
The interior design of the offices in Florence respects the corporate guidelines, which demand neutral operating spaces and lively recreational and relax areas, evocative of the local atmosphere.
The working spaces are open, fluidly interconnected and full of colors. The use of graphic walls and lively tones confers to the environment a decisive nature inspired to the images of distant countries and personalized with thematic decorations and furniture.
