INNOCAD Architecture Architecture, in cooperation with United Everything for graphic design, won the competition for interior design of the ÖBB Group headquarters in Vienna.

The concept was based on the unique and distinctive corporate design of the ÖBB and highlighted the notions of mobility and travel in the architecture.

The functional strategy of the concept is intended to reflect the much increased demand for communication, especially spontaneous communication, with the aim to create a modern working environment. At the same time, the workspace design recognizes the need for privacy and concentration.

The resultant space is visibly defined with clear-cut zoning of functional areas for very different needs.

The heart of the design is a 3.6 km long, movable screen spanning all 23 floors, which shows a voyage through Austria featuring both zoning, atmospheric and acoustic qualities.

The trend towards colorfulness at work is driven mainly by the graphic design of the screens.

The rolling by image sequences turn into an art landscape and are based on the algorithmic line graphic as the basic element of the ÖBB corporate design.

Thereby evolve a rhythmization of the passing landscape and mobility as a sequence of visual sensations in combination with acceleration and deceleration.

ÖBB headquarters by Innocad Architecture is one of the workspace project shortlisted for the LEAF Award 2015.
