“You ask _ we create”: this is the philosophy of Fontanot, which turns the client’s desires into the opportunity to create new realities by applying the knowledge, experience and creativity that are the hallmark of the company. For Fontanot, each new Contract project is a creative habitat, where the company operates to explore new boundaries.
La Font staircases by Fontanot are profoundly artisanal products, shaped to meet the specific needs and tastes of the customer, thanks to the quality of the materials, the unique style and the precision of Fontanot production processes.
The materials used for LaFont creations are selected with care from the finest available in the field of building and design: stainless steel, crystal and wood. The various materials available can be combined to create staircases based on specific projects.
Among the most impressive projects created by Fontanot’s Contract division and featuring the La Font staircase are the Scavolini flagship store in New York, and the Nettuno bar in Rimini, Italy, based on a renovation of the historic “Rotonda sul Mare”.
The custom-made Fontanot staircase for Scavolini, designed by the American studio Space Architects, blends two traditional quality materials: steel and glass. Each tread is made up of four 10 mm thick layers of toughened Madras glass joined to each other by a red film, with the colours creating an amazing visual effect. A stainless steel handrail adorns the toughened glass railings.
The project for the staircase that connects the two floors of the Nettuno bar in Rimini was produced by Fontanot based on the design of the architect Massimo Morandi, to enhance the deco style of the structure using steel and glass.
