Wide spaces, rigorous lines, neutral colours: but also irregularities, natural materials and hand-made furnishings. In its flagship store in Milan, Max&Co reinterprets the traditional minimal-chic of fashion stores with a warm, emotional style.
Max&Co has recently presented its new concept, characterised by simple, minimalist furnishings in a range of neutral shades. The vintage reminiscences of pastel, hand-crafted furniture and the parquet create an almost domestic feeling at the flagship store in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, restructured and reopened in September 2012.
The choice for the flooring fell to exclusively created, deliberatly unevenly cut staves by Ceramiche Refin, while for the columns the project designer chose the Mosaico d’Autore Beside, created by designer Massimiliano Adami for DesignTaleStudio. A sophisticated product that offers a superb interpretation of the Italian-crafted style that Refin shares with Max Mara Group: ceramics and tailoring traditions combine to create unique products that represent the Italian-made quality that is famous worldwide.
A similar atmosphere can be found in the store in Corso Vercelli, to which the gallery refers. Here on the floor, porcelain stoneware slats with an irregular surface have been laid: irregularities that are repeated in the colour scheme on the tiles on the columns.
